Mountain Bike Team
Welcome to the North Orange County Composite Mountain Bike Team Page
2024 - 25 Season
The current season has just started but it's not to late to join!
We are always recruiting new riders for our team.
All levels welcome, no experience required.
No cuts from the team, everyone rides!
Who We Are
Our NOCCMTB team is for youth riders and racers (boys & girls) in grades 6 through 12 that do not have a team at their school.
We are part of the SoCal Interscholastic Cycling League with trained, certified and background checked coaches.
If you can ride a bike, like to have fun, love adventure and the outdoors, you'll love this sport!
Where We Ride
Most team practices are in regional and state parks that have multiple levels of difficulty.
When We Ride
Between October 15th and November 30th teams may hold up to one team event per week.
These events may include riding but should be focused on skill building, team camaraderie building, and fun.
Between December 1st and May 31st teams may hold up to four team practices a week. This is known as the “Regular Season.”
When We Race
Races (optional) are February through May. For full race schedule and locations, click the link below.
Equipment Required
Approved helmet
Mountain bike (must have front and rear brakes and multiple functioning gears)
Parent Involvement
There are two ways for parents to get involved.
Coach/Assistant coach - Parents are welcome to join the rides if they are registered as as a coach or assistant coach. The more Coaches a team has the more resilient that team is.
Volunteer at races - Every team is required to fulfill a number of volunteer hours. The races are set up, run and broken down by volunteers. There is a volunteer position for everyone!
